Probably everyone’s feed is blowing up with the latest Anthropic updates. I’ll stay in my lane and stick to my usual SIEM Friday post. Might turn into a series at this point.
This week I want to talk about a platform I’ve spent a lot of time with lately. Panther SIEM.
After working with it for years across real workloads, I can honestly say it’s one of the best SIEMs I’ve used so far. It’s different in all the right ways. You’re not fighting the same legacy UI patterns you see in the old school SIEM vendors. It’s cleaner, simpler, and gets you to answers ridiculously fast.
A few highlights from my experience:
🔹 Log source onboarding. Ridiculously smooth. Fast. Almost fun. I never thought I’d hit 90 percent visibility in just a few months. Yet here we are.
🔹Detection as Code. This is where Panther really shines. Their Python-based rules and proper CI/CD support for detection engineering changed the way I work. It’s the first time I’ve had a detection pipeline that felt like real engineering. I’m too spoiled now to go back.
🔹And their latest AI-powered analysis features… honestly, they outperform some dedicated AI SOC vendors. No hype, just useful capability.
Kudos to (Jack Naglieri and William H. Lowe and their team) . Our industry needs more platforms like this!
